With ScreenShot you can take a screen shot of your current BlackBerry® screen with just one click. This is a BBM™ Connected application.

Features:
- Takes a screen shot of your device and stores it on the SD card or device memory (if SD card is not available).
- Share screen shots via BBM™, send by email, or queue them for sending via email.
- You may assign ScreenShot to one of the convenience keys. Then from any screen, you may press the convenience key and the screen shot will be saved.
- Supported Image Formats: PNG, JPG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, WBMP.

How to use ScreenShot:
- Click the ScreenShot icon.
- ScreenShot will now take a screen shot of your current BlackBerry® screen.
- Screen shot image is stored in “Pictures” directory on your SD card (or internal BlackBerry® memory if the SD card is not available, i.e. device is connected to computer or there is not SD card installed)
- The BlackBerry® will vibrate once saving is completed.

Options:
- Accessible via “BlackBerry® Options” – “ScreenShot Options”.
- Selectable “screen taken” notification: dialog, sound, vibration.
- Adjustable delay before screen shot is taken.
- File name conventions: custom prefix and suffix, current date and time can be added to the file name automatically.
- Automatic directory detection.
- Manual directory setting: i.e. screen shots can be stored in “media card – myVeryOwnScreenShots”.

Now that the release of PlayBook OS 2.0  is behind us, heading into Barcelona for Mobile World Congress, the world’s largest mobile trade show, questions will be asked on what RIM has in store to show for MWC. If you’re anticipating to see a BB 10 phone there and don’t see one, it’s because RIM has no plans on revealing new hardware other than whats out with the PlayBook. According to sources RIM will showcase what they have done with OS 2.0 along with what coming in BlackBerry 10 (BB10 OS).

We will seeBB10 OS in the form of powerpoint slidesand screenshot photos/videos. RIM has done a nice job in presenting TAT and Cascades via slideshow and video so it will  be interesting to see how BB10 functions heading into the mobile transition. Hopefully in May at BlackBerry World RIM has some hardware to show off with some specs.

Research In Motion
BlackBerry maker RIM has said that there will be no new hardware at the show this year, but that it will be showing off the new PlayBook 2.0 operating system and the software operating system, BB OS 10, that it hopes will power its new phones expected later in the year.

RIM has stated that you cannot use your BlackBerry smartphone’s charger to charge up your PlayBook tablet. Looking at the photo above, you can clearly see the error message, “unable to charge battery with connected source” while plugging in my smartphone wall charger. However, here lately my smartphone charger has saved me and allowed my PlayBook to boot up with juice. Without my smartphone charger, my PlayBook wouldn’t have been able to update with Os 2.0 the first day it was released. Continue reading for the rest of my story.

If you own a BlackBerry® smartphone, the charger that you use for it is not compatible with your BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. The BlackBerry PlayBook tablet charger, however, is capable of charging both a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet and a BlackBerry smartphone.

Now, back to my story. My PlayBook Charger is broken so it does not work leaving me with a dead Playbook. So the weekend of OS 2.0 launch beginning Feb 17th I decided to plug in my PlayBook while dead (off) to my smartphone charger. At first the red led light came on for around 10 seconds. After that a yellowish/green light came up with a slow flash. Over night, I turned on the PlayBook and to my surprise it had booted with around 50% battery life. I turned the PlayBook back off and left the house connected to the smartphone charger. When I got home at noon the once yellowish light was now flashing green. The PlayBook booted with 98% battery life. Right now a new PlayBook charger is on it’s way but for now, this is how I am keeping my PlayBook alive. BBE is not responsible for what happens to your PlayBook  but if your PlayBook’s charger has decided to stop working, try using your smartphone charger with your PlayBook shut off. It might take half a day to a full day but rest assure, it should turn on. Once again, do so at your own risk.

Looks like the BlackBerry Curve 9360 will be getting OS 7.1 upgrade tommorow from Virgin and Bell, included in this update will be the ability to create a Wi-Fi hotspot (up to 5 devices), NFC features, FM Radio and other update/fixes as well. Update is expected to be pushed in the early morning tomorrow.
